Nick + Tulip | Spring Texas Wedding | Aristide Flower Mound Texas

ARISTIDE WEDDING | FLOWER MOUND TEXAS | BLUSH + BURGUNDY WEDDING | DFW WEDDING | DALLAS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Nick and Tulip got married on a beautiful overcast Saturday afternoon in Flower Mound Texas. Their venue, Aristide Flower Mound was absolutely STUNNING! We had no idea the venue was there. -In fact, Amanda has driven past it at least a dozen times and didn’t even know it was there! When we walked into the bridal suite, we all just gasped. There was pink everywhere (OUR COLOR!), the decor was beautiful, and the room was massive! Honestly this was probably our favorite bridal suite we have ever photographed in!

We were able to do all of Tulip’s details in the bridal suite, which is a HUGE plus because if we have to spend time looking for a place and hauling the dress/details somewhere else, that takes time from the day. We whipped through the details and then we were on to getting Tulip in her gown! Let me just tell yall…this dress from Baley’s Bridal was MADE for Tulip! Like woah. SO stunning! She got all buttoned up and stood in front of the grand mirror and we all just wanted to melt.

Tulip and Nick chose to do a first look, so we headed out to the back of the property at Aristide. Tulip headed outside with excitement in her eyes as she saw her groom waiting for her. He instantly scooped her up in a hug the second he saw her and they just had the sweetest moment! First looks are great for giving the bride and groom a moment alone. (kindof…we are there!) Sometimes it’s the only alone moment they get together of the entire day!

After their first look, we took some time to do portraits, and then it was time for the ceremony! Tulip is from Thailand and wanted to honor her family and heritage by doing a Rod Nam Sang, otherwise known as a Shell Ceremony. (More info on that HERE)

With the bride and groom seated next to each other (bride on the left,) and joined by the Sai Monkhon thread, the guest will begin to line up to have a turn with the couple. The two hold the their hands close together as their most honored guests use a special shell, to pour water over the uniting pair.

It is customary for the person, while pouring the water, to wish the couple well and give advice on having a good life together.

This was such an amazing this to watch! It was incredibly inspiring to see all of the chosen guests come up and wish them well.

They sealed their marriage with a kiss and were on their way to the reception! We knew this reception would be fun based on Nick and Tulip’s personalities, so we were excited! They danced the night away with light up sunglasses and glow sticks on every person. Even grandma! At the very end, just when we thought they were partied out, they showed up in their pineapple costumes!! If you missed their engagement session where they surprised us with a “third outfit” go check that out HERE!

Nick and Tulp- We wish you all the happiness in the world! You two have a love that shines so bright and we are so thankful you chose us to capture your most special day! Congratulations!
